Antwerpen times: Day 2

On our second day in Antwerp, we all went strutting around the back streets where appaza all the kl kids hang out... only it was raining. We did do some brill window shopping though. We then visited a market although... by the time we got there people had started to pack up. hmph. HOWEVER, all was not lost as after some lunch and rest we went to TWO MUSEUMS OMG. The first one we went to was the Musee De La Mode which had an expedition showing dresses from way back in time to the 1950s  - and the second one was the MAS which was an amazing building that resembled that of a burnt orange cube covered with test tubes. BRILL.

Shops down that cool road I was on about...

MAS (Museum ann de Stroom)
Obvs not my own pic don't get angry pls
(My photo had something in the way, not good)

Every floor had a different theme, like the first floor was basically a storage place with creepy old toys heads and figures in cages. The whole room was dark as well so it felt as though thousands of beady little eyes were watching me that I didn't know about. There was one floor as well were the first room had loads of TVs all in a circle and they were playing political speeches/wars (etc...) over and over again whilst at the same time this BOOM noise would go off rhythmically. DEEP STUFF MAN. Another floor was full of old religious paintings, yet, at the end of that part, there was just this...

...which made me bloody jump when I saw it! Freaked me RIGHT out.

So that pretty much sums up our second, v.eventful day

Antwerpen times: Day 1

"that is a good time"

On Saturday, me and five other AS textiles gals and our two textile teachers went off to Antwerp - or Antwerpen as the locals says - to gain inspiration for our A2 themes. Although it rained for 2/3 days we were there, we all had such a laugh. Antwerp is an amazing city filled with the most extravagant buildings and many beautiful people. The only way to travel in Antwerp is by bike or tram and there are religious statues on the corner of every other building you walk past!

I tried to figure out the best way of displaying my time in Antwerp but got confused so, oh well, you get what you're given...

Summary of Antwerp day 1
(or Antwerpen Summary as some would say ((no one says that))
 Da buildings oh yh
The cathedral
Check it out woop woop

BIKES!
Obvs their version of Boris Bikes

So as you can see I wasn't joking about all the bikes around, but the best thing is most of them are decorated with fake flowers and brightly coloured materials which was the cutest thing!!
Plus! There is so much graffiti there and most of it is actually really nice and all of the boutique windows are layed out in a v.aesthetically pleasing way.

Random encounters from the first day...

During the creation of this post I have eaten a whole box of chocolate fingers.
